Finally, after the long, cold winter, spring is here, and it's now prime season for Red River Gorge. It's cool, it's not buggy, and not everyone's out of school yet, so you won't have to camp in the goat pasture. But let's be honest, you can't show up to the crag with that ratty old bag you used for middle school track. And that rope? Well, I wouldn't take a whipper on it. Oh, and stop chalking your big toe and buy some new shoes, too, while you're at it. Bivouac will get you ready for Muir Valley - well, the gear at least, maybe not your 5.13 project. We just got in new BD backpacks and quickdraws. The Arcteryx Arrakis just came in, too, and it's worth checking out. And out of the great basement, I have found two of the most classic, venerable, discontinued Arcteryx backpacks ever made -the RT45 and the Needle 45. Heck, for you, I'll even give you 20% off these beauties. See you at the Red. You'll recognize me because I'll be the one dangling pathetically from Ro Shampo.
